About Roman Vinfield
Followed from its roots in financial services to the present day, the career of Roman Vintfeld has one consistent thread: the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in supply chain, marketing, and sales operations. Roman Vintfeld is a New York-based business executive whose professional record also appears under the name Roman Vinfield, and a large share of his working life has been spent in financial services.
His financial services experience covers a broad stretch of the sector. Roman Vinfield worked across business and consumer lending, merchant cash advance, payment processing, wealth management, mortgages, credit services, and debt consolidation. He came into financial technology with a grounding in digital marketing, lead acquisition, and enterprise sales systems, and across each of these areas his focus was on building sales and marketing organizations and helping them scale.
While operating a merchant cash advance business, he put Conversica’s AI sales assistant technology to work and cut his customer acquisition costs by 85 percent. The result pointed him toward a problem he saw again and again among direct lenders and brokerages, which was the difficulty of making sure every lead was followed up consistently and persistently. To take that approach to the wider financial services market, he founded AI Assist, where Roman Vinfield served as President beginning in 2016.
Under a partnership with Conversica, AI Assist introduced the Conversica AI Sales Assistant for financial services. The product was built for alternative finance companies, merchant cash advance lenders and brokers, mortgage lenders and brokers, merchant processors, equipment leasers, debt consolidators, and student loan providers. It was designed to follow up automatically on leads and on funding applications left incomplete, to answer customer replies, and to let a salesperson know when a prospect was ready to proceed. In August 2017, Roman Vinfield took the stage as a speaker at B2B LeadsCon in New York.
